Consultation

One of our foresters will cruise the timber to estimate the quality, size, and volume of the timber and determine if Thinning, Select Cut, or Clear Cut would be the most appropriate for your needs and optimize your revenue from harvest.

Timber Harvesting

Thinning-  Thinning timber involves the selective removal of trees in order to improve the growth rate or health of the remaining trees. This is usually done to make the stand more profitable for a future clear cut.

Select Cut-  Select cutting involves harvesting trees in a way that moves the stand towards establishing continued growth and multiple age classes of trees within a stand.  This can be used to create and promote select species that require or prefer certain type of forest ecosystem.

Clear Cut-  Clear cutting timber means most or all trees in the area are uniformly cut down.  This is the most popular and economically profitable method of logging.

Reforestation

After harvesting, we want to manage your land for future timber gains.  Reforestation is an important part of our business because we want your timber to survive and thrive.  We manage all aspects of the reforestation process including controlled burns, site prep, replanting, and herbicide applications.  We coordinate your reforestation projects directly with the appropriate vendors to save money for landowners.

Land Management

We assist landowners with future management goals ranging from wildlife management to optimum timber management.
