Steps to Selling Your Timber

Get an Estimate-

Please contact us to get an estimate for your timber.  One of our experienced foresters will cruise the timber to estimate the quality, size, and volume of the timber in order to give you a price.

Sign a Contract-

A contract will be signed by the buyer and seller before cutting begins.  This contract specifies what timber will be cut, how it will be cut, the price of the timber, how it will be paid, and the length of time allowed to cut it.

Getting Paid-

We buy timber two ways- per unit (typically by the ton) or lump sum.  If you choose to sell your timber lump sum, you are paid the full amount before it is cut.  If you choose to sell your timber per unit, you are paid weekly as the timber is cut.  How you will be paid is specified in the timber contract signed before cutting begins.

Harvesting-

Whether it be thinning, select cut, or clear cut, we will recommend the method that will optimize your revenue from harvest and what meets your long range management objectives.

Logging-

We employ three large, highly experienced, PLM (Professional Logging Managers) certified contract logging crews.  All crews aim to uphold industry standards in environmental and community responsibility.
